I knew we were in Vegas when . . .

we stepped off the plane and the slot machines were right there.

I knew we were in Vegas when . . .

we landed at 6 p.m. and it was 115 degrees Fahrenheit.

I knew we were in Vegas when . . .

we looked out the hotel window and saw a showgirl.

I knew we were in Vegas when . . .

we could see the Eiffel Tower and the Brooklyn Bridge at the same time.

  1. After a night of drinking we couldn’t figure out what that bright light was and then someone explained to us it was the sunrise. -True Story.

  2. Well, having never been to Vegas, this is a tough one for me. But I was in Monte Carlo….

So, I knew I was in Monte Carlo when my dad hit the jackpot and sirens and flashing lights went off. He won so much money that it did not pour out of the machine. Security came to check the machine and then we were escorted to a back office and paid off in cash. For the rest of our visit in Monaco, people kept pointing at us and saying “Those are the people who won!”

But I did book rooms at the Excalcibur just this morning, so I will be remedying this in December!

  3. … when we arrived 15 hours early and were “forced” to drink and gamble all night until our hotel room was ready the next afternoon. On a side note, we also knew we were in Vegas when we truly experienced a “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” moment. To this day, the Bro Code dictates we’re not allowed to talk about it.
