If you currently hold a MasterCard you may have heard about the Priceless Cities program, which offers cardholders unique opportunities and discounts in several U.S. cities including Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and New York.
Registering for the program gives you access to exclusive offers.
For instance, in researching our upcoming trip to New York, I found special offers for early entry or evening tickets to the fabulous holiday train show at the New York Botanical Gardens, as well as discounted tickets for standard admissions.
There were also some club, hotel, entertainment and restaurant discounts, and a special venue for viewing the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
But did you know that Priceless Cities is actually an international program?
Priceless Africa has special offers safaris and other attractions in Kenya, Zambia, Tanzania, Seychelles Mauritius, Nigeria, and South Africa.
Priceless Arabia offers eclectic deals in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
There are also programs in Singapore and Mexico as well as in these major cities: London, Paris, Istanbul, Stockholm, Madrid, Moscow, Beijing, Sydney, Lima, Bogata, Santiago, Toronto, Rio, and Buenos Aires.
In the coming months the offerings will expand to:
- Austria
- Bangkok
- Benelux
- Greece
- Hong Kong
- Ireland
- Portugal
- Rome
- Sao Paulo
- Switzerland
There is even a free iPhone app for Priceless Cities with cool, futuristic artwork, which was actually what prompted this post (the artwork, that is).
My access to the Priceless Cities discounts is via the Barclaycard Arrival™ World MasterCard®, which pays 2 percent on travel and restaurant expenses, plus a ten percent bonus on travel redemptions. Mine is the no fee version of the card, which currently offers 20,000 bonus points for new applications (worth $220 towards travel.)
There is also a Barclaycard Arrival Plus™ World Elite MasterCard® version that pays 2 percent on all purchases. This card has an $89 annual fee that is waived the first year, and it offers a 40,000 point signup bonus (worth $440 toward travel.)
If you are killing time at the airport, it may be worth checking out the “priceless” offerings for your destination.
